These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the educational consulting services provided by von Becker Consulting LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), as described within vonbeckerconsulting.com (“the website”, “our website”). By accessing or using our services, you (the “Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Scope of Services and Eligibility

Our educational services are designed as a collaborative partnership and are intended for motivated learners. For clients under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian purchasing the services is responsible for ensuring the minor learner understands and adheres to all requirements outlined below.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services, without refund, for any client or learner who fails to meet these eligibility and responsibility requirements.

General Requirements for all Learners

  1. Age: The learner be at least 13 years old.
  2. Active Participation: Our services require active and willing participation. The learner must demonstrate a genuine commitment to the learning process through constructive engagement during sessions.
  3. Good-Faith Effort: As the learner, you’re expected to contribute a good-faith effort toward your educational goals. This includes preparing for scheduled sessions as directed and attempting assigned tasks or practice work. Our role is to guide and support your effort, not to replace it.

Service Divisions

1-on-1 Tutoring and Coaching Services

  • Geographic Restrictions: In-person tutoring and consulting services are strictly restricted to the following California zip codes: 92110, 92111, and 92117. We do not provide in-person services outside of these areas.
  • Subscription Management & Cancellations: Certain tutoring packages operate on a recurring subscription basis. It is the sole responsibility of the Client to cancel subscription-based services when they are no longer needed. von Becker Consulting LLC will not issue refunds, partial or full, for billing cycles prior to the formal receipt of a cancellation notice.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Sessions will begin and end at the scheduled times. If a learner is late, that time is deducted from the session. No-shows or cancellations violating our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy will be billed in full. For virtual sessions, the instructor will remain in the session environment for 15 minutes; if the learner does not join within this window, the session will be deemed a no-show.

Group Workshops, Bootcamps, and Cohorts

  • Tuition and Access: Tuition fees for group workshops and multi-week cohorts (such as the NotebookLM for Students Bootcamp) grant access exclusively to the specific cohort dates and sessions selected at checkout. Workshop fees are tied to a fixed seat allocation and are strictly subject to the specific tiered refund timelines outlined in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Workshop seats are non-transferable to other individuals or alternative cohort tracks once the program has commenced.
  • Technical Requirements: Certain interactive features of our workshops require tools within the Google ecosystem. Clients and learners are required to possess and use a personal, non-school-issued Google account to participate in these services. School-issued accounts often block external sharing and will prevent the learner from accessing workshop materials.
  • Behavioral Expectations & Dismissal: Maintaining a constructive, collaborative, and safe learning environment is vital. Learners must treat the instructor and fellow cohort members with respect. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove a learner from an individual session or dismiss them permanently from a workshop cohort if their behavior is consistently disruptive, inappropriate, or violates our community standards.
  • No Refund Upon Dismissal: In the event of a behavioral dismissal, no refunds, partial credits, or prorated adjustments will be issued for missed or remaining sessions.
  • Cohort Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any workshop cohort if minimum enrollment numbers are not met. In the rare event of a cancellation on our part due to low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.

No Guarantees or Warranties

While we are dedicated to providing high-quality guidance, strategies, and educational support, von Becker Consulting LLC makes no guarantees or warranties regarding specific outcomes. We do not guarantee specific exam scores, course grades, school admissions, or overall academic performance. Educational success depends heavily on the student’s independent effort, baseline skills, and external academic variables beyond our control.

Account Registration

Some features of our services may require you to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or the parent/legal guardian of a minor learner. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during the registration process and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any activity that:

(a) Violates any applicable laws or regulations; (b) Infringes upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights; (c) Harasses, threatens, or harms others; (d) Interferes with the operation of our services; (e) Attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data; (f) Uses our services for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Intellectual Property

Ownership

Unless otherwise disclosed on our website, all content and materials provided through our services, including but not limited to text, frameworks, digital workbooks, images, videos, and software, are owned by von Becker Consulting LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our services and materials for your personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions

You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, resell, or publicly share our content and workshop materials without our express written permission, or use our trademarks or logos without our permission. Furthermore, you may not use our proprietary materials, frameworks, or methodologies to conduct training, coaching, or commercial services for third parties.

Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and disclose your data.

Payment and Refunds

Fees

Some features of our services may require payment of fees. You agree to pay all applicable fees in accordance with our pricing and payment terms.

Refunds

Refunds may be available in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which we may establish and modify at our discretion. Our Cancellation and Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference; please review it carefully to understand our specific policy and timelines regarding refunds.

Physical Venue and In-Person Attendance

For workshops held at physical locations (including but not limited to Hera Hub), clients and attendees agree to comply with all rules, safety protocols, and guidelines enforced by the venue management. von Becker Consulting LLC assumes no liability for personal injury, illness, property loss, or property damage sustained by attendees while on the premises of the host venue. Parents or guardians assume full financial and legal responsibility for any property damage caused to the venue by their registered learner.

Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, von Becker Consulting LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless von Becker Consulting LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our Website. Your continued use of our services after the posting of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
